Transitioning manufacturing concepts to industry in support of the Navy

The Electronics Manufacturing Center is a Navy Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) Center-Of-Excellence, located within the Penn State Applied Research Laboratory. The EMC is able to draw on internal ARL and Penn State resources in solving manufacturing issues for the Navy in the area of electronics.

The EMC was formed in 2021 under NAVSEA contract N00014-21-D-7003 as one of seven Navy ManTech Centers-Of-Excellence. All of the centers centers assist the Navy in solving some of the more difficult issues in manufacturing of Navy platforms and the equipment that is installed in them.
