Identification Requirements
As part of the check-in process, visitors must present a valid government-issued photo ID upon entry.
Foreign citizens must present either a passport or a Permanent Resident ID card.
Restricted Items
Devices with a camera, microphone, or wireless capability are prohibited and must be secured in the lobby upon entry into an ARL facility. Examples of prohibited devices include—but are not limited to—cameras, laptops, tablets, earbuds, smart watches, USB devices, and cell phones. When official ARL business requires, laptops, tablets, and cell phones may be authorized if prior approval is received. Check with your ARL host for more information.
Penn State Policy SY12 prohibits possessing; carrying; or using any weapon, ammunition, or explosive by any person on University property except by authorized law enforcement officers and other persons specifically authorized by the University.
Visitor Control
Access to ARL facilities is restricted to individuals conducting official business with ARL. Visitors attending classified meetings must send a request through either the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or faxed to 814-865-3738 within two business days in advance of the visit.
